Light repair or tuning of musical instruments, drums in particular. Repair of small (non-electronic) small appliances, light fixtures, toys, wood objects, crockery, bikes, household chachkas, knicknacks, geegaws, etc.

I'm a graphic artist, sculptor, musician and poet. I have been taking stuff apart to see how it works since I was a kid. Later in life I learned how to put the parts back together.

I used to be a chronic debris box diver and hung out at land fills, garage sales and thrift stores. I love fixing anything that's broken.

Musical Instrument evaluation: quality, play-ability, value.

Musical Instrument repairs: on-the-spot fixes, screws, bridge-pins, broken tuning pegs, strings, saddles, nuts, truss-rod adjustments, intonation adjustments, leaks, stuck mouth pieces, reeds, minor pad replacement or adjustment.

Instruments: Stringed, Woodwind & Brass, Amplification, microphones etc.

I have been repairing musical instruments for close to 40 years in our family owned music stores People's Music here in Sebastopol, and Harbor Center Guitars in San Rafael before that. I'd love to meet you and your instrument(s).
